Good Times

Can one's life get any better that a big bowl of deliciously red cherries.......

Oh yes, when this big bag of silky soft fibre arrives in the letterbox.......

But this surpasses all that has come before............

YES...!!!!!!!!!!you are looking at a ticket to see and hear JAMES TAYLOR and CAROLE KING !!!
I can hardly believe it myself. I have been listening to these two fabulous musicians since I was fifteen years old. The very first LP I bought was Carole King's Tapestry and then soon after James Taylor's Mud Slide Slim. I have every song and every CD now, and what's more I know all the words and all the riffs !!!!Their music has documented all the special and important times in my life, and the sad ones too.
Last night they were on being interviewed about their concert here in NZ and I could hardly breathe whilst I was watching...my heart was doing little flip flops all over the place. Goodness knows what I am going to be like on the night I am actually THERE watching them on stage.
It's happening now , while I write about it !!
I think I should go and put some of that squishy squashy merino/silk fibre in the dyepot and see what colours I can come up with today. Phew, and find a fan super quick !

That is so exciting!!!! When I was little my parents bought me a copy of 'Really Rosie' - Carole King singing Maurice Sendak - and I wore that record out I played it so much. What luck, getting that ticket!

I must be about your age; I wasn't a James Taylor fan, although my friends were, and I've come around to like his voice since then. I'm with you on Carole King--I loved her songs. So many favorites, but You're So Far Away stands out. These two will sound great together.

I played Carole King's Tapestry album so much as a teenager that I thought I might put a hole in it!
She really spoke to my 'teenaged angst'...har...but interestingly enough, I re-purchased the album as a CD a year or so ago, and she still 'speaks to me'.
...and James Taylor is the best
(I esp. love 'Steamroller' and 'I Don't Want to be Lonely Tonight')
Have a wonderful time at the concert!!

Oh Sally Anne! how exciting! I can tell how thrilled you are, I would be too, they are both favorites of mine. I remember these were really the only albums that my parents didn't mind me playing (loudly) they loved them too.
We just treated ourselves to tickets to see U2 and feel that same sense of OH BOY!! but the concert isn't until next summer.
Enjoy yours!
