Springtime weaving

This year is flying by so fast, and during the first week in this month I decided to spend a few days setting up another weaving project. My thinking was that if I didn't get a move on, I would be into summer and Christmas and holidays before I could turn around. Is it just me, or are the rest of you noticing how this year is speeding along ?

I knotted some yarn for the warp
(that I had left over from Tamsin's slouchy cardigan) onto the heddles from the last blanket I made, and found some beautiful blue silk
and possum and merino hand dyed yarn from Touch yarns for the weft
that I had been saving in my stash and all in all, it didn't take as long as I had thought to get started again.

Ohhhh... this looks so addictive!! I was just thinking today how great it would be to get even a small loom going. Yours looks seriously drool-worthy ;^)

That looks so beautiful, one day I would love to learn. Your family is very lucky with the beautiful quilts you gift them, especially with all that time and love you put in to them.
