Hope

This week is very ,very hard, and I am trying to stay positive and looking for something hopeful in each hour. I am glued to the radio and listening to all the stories that are coming from Christchurch, and today I finished quilting the quilt top for Sarah's wedding.

It feels strange to be doing normal things when the people in ChCh have their lives turned upside down. I would like to offer our home to anyone who needs to leave ChCh and has no place to go to. We have spare beds, and would love to give a safe haven for you, here in Nelson. Just send me an email and we can help you.

That is a beautiful quilt, lots of love in it. I think about the earthquake every day, and check the news sites and updates, for what, I'm not sure. That it was all a nightmare? A very real nightmare for everyone in the midst of it. I'm glad my country is sending help, but how can it ever be enough? What I've seen reminds me so much of 9-11. Sad doesn't begin to describe it. I cry every day about this; I don't really know anyone there, but it is just so hard and sad. Love and prayers from the USA

The wedding quilt is gorgeous, I love the lace in it, I'm sure they must be special.

Beautiful quilt, and such a beautiful generous nature to offer safe haven to those in need after the awful earthquake your country has suffered.

Glad to hear you and your family are safe.

It is a very very hard week. I look out of my window when I pull back the curtains in the morning and can't believe that here everything looks so calm and unbroken and 4 hours north of here there is so much devastation and sadness. heart wrenching.

oh sally, my heart goes out to you and your fellow countrymen and women.
i love that you have offered your home. bless your heart.

sarahs quilt is beautiful. i hope only love goes into it's creation and not the sadness of the recent tragedy.
