Time spent

I have been oh, so busy this last week, running around doing all the usual stuff, grandparenting, washing huge loads of sheets and towels, cleaning house ( we have had several families staying at our holiday home) and it is always a mammoth task to get it ready for the next lot of guests.

However, I was very happy to have a couple of days catching up on the things I love to do the most.
I hand dyed some corriedale fleece, spun and then plied it the navojo way.

I made some small progress on Phoebe's quilt this week and I have made a start on this quilt. Very satisfying !

Some weeding was done amongst the flowers, not very energetically, but there are a few "weed free" gaps now.
I hope you have a great weekend, doing all the things you love the most.

Hello!
I found you through etsy when I was looking at yarn. I love what you make and am actually hoping to get the pink that you have in there now, it's on my christmas wish list!
I love your blog, I am glad to have found you, I see we have much in common and I feel so inspired here. I also have 5 children, 2 grandchildren, and i love to knit and sew, although i've never been brave enough to make a quilt. Yours are beyond beautiful.
I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead!

Your holiday home looks beautiful and inviting, just as beautiful as your quilts and flowers. Thanks for posting a bit of Spring for those of us in climates that are a little bit chillier.
